Bob Pettus joined Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, based in Charlotte, in 1984 as Vice President of Human Resources.  In 1996, he was named Executive Vice President and Assistant to the Chairman and later retired in 2004.  The company is the nation's second largest Coca-Cola bottler with territories in 11 southern states.  In 2004, he was named Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

 

As a long-time senior operating executive in large public companies with thousands of employees, Bob understands the challenges, opportunities, and blessings associated with marketplace ministry, servant leadership, and conducting business with excellence and integrity.

 

Bob has a unique perspective of a career HR professional and will reflect on his marketplace ministry experience.  He will also discuss the ministries that flow out of Coca-Cola Consolidated and the impact that has been made in the organization and communities.

 

Bob is a native of Greenville, SC and a graduate of the University of Tennessee.  He and his wife, Marilyn, have three children.
