The call goes out no matter the need -- how great or how small,

the Lord promises to hear the cry of His child.

You alone O God have the answers we so desperately need,

To free us from this time of crisis, confusion and total misery.

How long all you wise men will turn away from God?

You’re stuck and you know it, why continually do you plod?

Our Father longs to help us.

He’ll hear us if we’ll call.

Still our hearts, deliver us,

Before the chaos feared does fall.

Simply put, He tells us all, do right

And always keep Me in your sight.

So much mass confusion, panic and concern;

Who can fix this mess?  Where in the world do we turn?

I know the Answer and the Source to which we all must run;

The solution to this crisis, found only in the Son.

Our hearts He’ll fill with joy as we trust His mighty plans;

Way more than all the stuff we grasp for with our puny, tiny hands.

In our Savior God find we the elusive missing peace;

Content and still now and from all striving do we cease.

My Lord, my King, My God,

the One who hears my prayers;

my expectation is in You alone.

Lead me in Your righteousness, Lord

and cleanse me from all that keeps me from standing in Your Presence.

In the face of my enemies, I take refuge and rejoice in You, my shield and protector.
